Having lived in March, Cambridgeshire for 40 years, the town holds a special place in our hearts, supporting our local community and businesses.

 

March offers a variety of activities and attractions for residents and visitors alike, and there are many independent companies thriving here.

A Picturesque Market Town

March is a market town and civil parish in Cambridgeshire.

 

Situated in the Fenland district of Cambridgeshire, the town is approximately 20 miles (32 kilometres) north of the city of Cambridge and about 9 miles (14 kilometres) southeast of the city of Peterborough. The town lies along the River Nene and is accessible via road and rail, making it a notable centre for local transportation in the area, and great for those commuting to and from London.

On your Doorstep

March is a popular stop for boaters, offering free moorings in the town centre near shops and eateries. The town's Broad Street is lined with various shops and features an ornate fountain commemorating King George V's coronation. South of the town, the medieval Church of St Wendreda is known for its impressive double hammerbeam roof with 120 carved angels.

The town offers a variety of shops, from high street brands to independent stores, and numerous dining options, including English, Chinese, and Indian cuisine, as well as traditional pub food. March hosts two weekly markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, featuring a range of goods like local produce, baked goods, clothing, and tools.
